Dwight Schrute, from NBC’s “The Office”, might be giving you a call soon.

No it’s not really Dwight, it’s a new web-based viral marketing campaign, which allows you to send very humorous telephone calls to your friends. At the end of the call Dwight lets the bewildered receiver in on the joke with a quick plug, “Don’t forget to pick up a copy of The Office Season Two, now available on DVD”.

It’s fun and you’ll get an easy laugh out of sending your friends a call from Dwight, but are there any practical recruiting applications for this technology?
