Plug ‘N Play SEO - Jobs2Web

“Search Engine Optimization makes sense, but I can’t get any support from my IT department.”

Just one of the many comments I hear from companies looking for better avenues to attract top talent, through SEO, but are unable to obtain the necessary support or, better yet, find themselves going through piles of internal bureaucracy.

Another obstacle is attempting to optimize a corporate career site run by an un-optimized ATS provider. ATS providers have evolved tremendously over the past couple of years, although none to my knowledge offer an optimized career portal.

Enter Jobs2Web, by the guys at HotGigs, an SEO solution predicated on building mirror career sites and optimizing job content without your IT department intervening. Check out these mirror sites:

Xerox Jobs
Cingular Jobs
HealthEast Jobs

Mirror career sites are created and maintained by Jobs2Web, not your internal IT group, plus there’s no reason to place a call to your ATS vendor asking for SEO. Two major obstacles hurdled in a single bound.

My only question for the guys at Jobs2Web is… Why is your homepage flash only?

LOL re the flash home page for Jobs2Web — you’re absolutely correct on the irony. We needed a quick marketing site for an event - hence the Flash piece. We have a replacement site in the works for 2007, which will be as fully optimized as our parent site - Hotgigs.com.

The only addition I’d make to your post is that the jobs and categories within the mirror sites are submitted and optimized daily, with continual advances occuring in both indexing and rankings. Candidates are driven from day one, and increase as our optimization work takes hold.

If anyone is curious about your career site, jobs, or ATS relative to the millions of job searches run on Google, Yahoo, etc. monthly, plesae let me know & we’ll run a Jobs2Web analysis for you (n/c) - Peter Brasket, co-founder, HotGigs/Jobs2Web

And…as Peter says…the Flash is a thing of the past. The new site’s (blush) optimized…
