Global web audience grows, while US and UK remain stagnant

Last week our friends over at comScore released the following data revolving around global internet audience growth.

Top 15 Countries by Internet Penetration (Growth)
January 2007 vs. January 2006

India – 33%
Russian Federation – 21%
China – 20%
Mexico – 18%
Brazil – 16%
Italy – 13%
Canada – 11%
South Korea – 8%
Japan – 4%
France – 4%
Germany – 3%
United States – 2%
United Kingdom – 1%

Worldwide – 10%

This adoption rate provides better traction, audience, for the Global Job Search Engines like Recruit.net, Jobrapido.com, and JobCentral.

In addition, comScore also found that Canadians spent the most time on the web, almost 40 hours per month. Personally, I think Jason Davis, Animal, and all of the other blogging Canucks are the reason behind the surge.
