Hello I’m Chad Sowash, thanks for reading.

I am VP of Business Development for DirectEmployers Association, a non-profit recruiting leadership group, but don’t be misled by the “non-profit”. DirectEmployers is a group of progressive recruiting leaders who are constantly looking for a “Better way”, meaning my hands are always full (figuratively) and phone is always ringing (literally). The industry is always changing, solutions are being conceived, and I find myself emerged in conversations with new exciting vendors, industry pundits, and most importantly hiring companies.

Dating myself:
I’ve been in the online recruiting space since the days of OCC, E-Span, Career Mosaic, HeadHunter.net, and The Monster Board. Remember when Junglee was “cool” technology?

I have close to 18 years in the US Army, between my active and reserve time. I am an Infantryman, served in combat and as an Infantry Drill Sergeant in Fort Benning, GA.

I love the BUCKEYES! - I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, and strongly FAVOR the Browns, Bengals, and Colts, now that I reside in Columbus, Indiana. (pics)

My beautiful wife, Tracy, and I have a little girl, Ema and two boys Logan and Hayden. I’ve promised this blog won’t cut into any time jumping on the trampoline, nailing my boys with paintballs, or good ole fashioned “quality time” with my better half. Wish me luck!
